Never Caught Out app: an offline plan for everyone who relies on you (planned)
We are planning an app that keeps your household plan, your local warnings and a map working when the signal does not. The app is not built yet, and this plan may change.
Nothing here is available to download. This page describes what we intend to build so you can tell us whether it would help. Details, features and prices may change before launch.
The free offline crisis pack
The free version would keep these on your phone, working with no signal:
- One home plan: your household's contacts, meeting points, medicines and where things are.
- One offline map area, downloaded in advance for the place you choose.
- Warnings for one place: official weather and flood warnings for that area, with a link to the source of each.
- A torch screen: a plain bright screen for finding your way, without hunting for settings.
- A neighbour check-in list you can share by WhatsApp, so the people around you know who to check on.
Safety information is never paywalled. The crisis numbers and first steps, the guides and the warnings for your place stay free.
The paid tier
More places, family sync, reminders. Planned price, indicative only and not yet on sale: £2.99 a month or £24.99 a year.
What works today, without an app
This website already saves its pages on your device once you have visited, so the crisis page and the guides open without a signal. You can also make and print a household emergency plan; it is saved only on your device.
